Ben Clarsen studied physiotherapy at the University of Sydney between 1996 and 2001. He has finnished his Master studies in sports physiotherapy at the Norwegian School of Sports Sciences in 2010 and continued working in a private physiotherapy clinic in Oslo.
Ben is particularly interested in overuse injuries in cycling, and works as physiotherapist for the Norwegian natioanl team. He has also has worked as physiotherapist for several professional teams, the Australian national team and worked on the Tour de France and UCI Pro Tour for a number of seasons.
I the fall 2010, he has started his PhD at the Oslo Sports Trauma Research Center to even more focus on overuse injuries in sports.
He is a former member of the Australian national rowing team and a silver medal winner from the 1997 under 23 world championships.
