Erling Strand studied Physiotherapy at Høgskolen in South-Trøndelag. In August 2007, Erling started his sports physiotherapy master study at the Norwegian School of Sport Sciences. In addition to the master study, he is working as a physiotherapist at a private clinic. Erling has previously been a keeper in both football and handball.
