Hilde Moseby Berge is MD from the University of Oslo from 1995, and has a specialty in General Practice from 2005. She was authorized as a Sports Medicine Physician (Idrettslege NIMF) by the Norwegian Society of Sports Medicine in 2006.
Hilde is currently on leave from her position as consultant physician at Hjelp24 NIMI, where she has worked for five years. For three years she has been affiliated with the Department of General Practice and Community Medicine, Section for General Practice at the University of Oslo where she has worked on two projects: 1) Use of glucosamine does not reduce the need for other pain-relieving drugs, and 2) What happen two patient with musculoskeletal disorders after referral two physiotherapists? She is also a consultant for colleagues in prescribing the proper use of antibiotics in respiratory tract infections in general practice.
Hilde is active in the sports medicine community as a board member of NIMF and as member of the editorial committee for the Norwegian Sports Medicine Journal, which she also was the editor for from 2007 to 2009.
From October 2009, Hilde has been a research fellow in 50% position at the OSTRC, where she is working on the project "The Norwegian athlete's heart." She will be in a 100% position from October 2010.
