Jørn Torjussen

Jørn Torjussen has three years of experience in surgery and is currently working at the Orthopaedic department of the Ullevål University Hospital as a resident in orthopaedic surgery. He has been involved in the sport of snowboarding for more than 15 years, first as an active competitor and then administratively. He has been the chairman of the Medical Committee of the International Snowboard Federation ISF for the period 2000-2001.

 

Since this time, Jørn has been associated with the Oslo Sports Trauma Research Center at the Norwegian School of Sport Sciences working on a project aiming to describe the injury pattern among competitive snowboarders. His major goal is to develop methods for injury prevention within the snowboard disciplines.
