Silje Stensrud is a PhD student at Southern University of Denmark/ NAR (Norwegian research center for Active Rehabilitation). She is investigating different treatments of degenerative meniscus lesions. Silje is a physical therapist with a Master of Science degree in Sports Physiotherapy from The Norwegian School of Sport Sciences.
As a master-student she was part of a big cohort study investigating risk factors for non-contact ACL injuries in elite team handball players. Her main field of interest is exercise and physical activity, and she has been an active handball player for several years, in addition to other sports and activities. Silje has been working as a physiotherapist at sports clinics and also as a team physical therapist for an elite handball team.
