Steinar Sulheim is an orthopaedic surgeon at SIHF, Lillehammer Hospital. He is also authorised as Sports Medicine Physician (Idrettslege NIMF) by the Norwegian Society of Sports Medicine and has served as team physician for teams associated with Norwegian Sports Association. Since 2001 he has been associated with the Oslo Sports Trauma Research Center at the Norwegian School of Sport Sciences.

Steinar´s main research focus is on the prevention of skiing injuries.

He is a former competitor in alpine and telemark skiing. On his spare time he prefers to be in the mountains.
