Sverre Løken MD is a consultant in orthopedic surgery at Ullevål University Hospital, Unit for arthroscopic surgery, Oslo. He is a specialist in general and orthopedic surgery, and is authorized as Sports Medicine Physician (Idrettslege NIMF) by the Norwegian Society of Sports Medicine. He serves as team physician for the Norwegian national rowing team. His main research area is cartilage injuries, and he has also worked on rowing injuries (back injuries and rib stress fractures).

Sverre is a former World champion and Olympic bronze medalist in rowing.
